1. Who we are

This website, theckd.in, is run by Ansh Thakur (sole proprietor), trading as C.K.D. Garden and Restaurant (Chaudhary Ka Dhaba, “CKD”), 75-A, Niranjanpur, A.B. Road, Indore, Madhya Pradesh 452010 (“CKD”, “we”, “us”). Block 72, shown on this website, is on the same premises and is part of the same business. We decide how the information described here is used, so we are responsible for it.

2. What we collect and why

We do not collect payment details on this website, and we do not use advertising, analytics, profiling or tracking tools. We do not take deposits or payments for bookings. Please do not put sensitive information (for example health details, bank details or ID numbers) in your booking note or feedback.

3. Your consent

We only collect your booking or feedback after you tick the consent box on the form. The box is never ticked for you. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (section 12). It is as easy to withdraw as it was to give. We will then delete your booking details or feedback (if you withdraw before your visit, we will also cancel the booking). Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.

The server records in section 2 are not based on consent. They are kept to secure the website and to comply with Indian law.

4. Who can see your information

• Our team: the owner and staff we authorise, through a private panel. Each person has their own access link with only the permissions they need. When a booking comes in, the team's phones get an alert with the booking details (not your phone number). The alert is encrypted so that the phone's notification service (Google or Apple) carries it but cannot read it.
• Our hosting provider: GoDaddy stores the website and its data on its servers, which may be outside India (currently in Singapore). It provides this service to us under GoDaddy's terms of service.
• Authorities: only when Indian law requires us to share it.

Your booking and feedback are never published on this website. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for marketing. We send you our own news and offers only if you ticked the separate offers box.

5. How long we keep it

• Table bookings (made on the website, by phone, on WhatsApp or at the counter), including your name, phone number and booking details: deleted automatically from our booking system 90 days after the booking date, or sooner if you ask. Our team also enters bookings into the restaurant's own order and operations systems, where they are kept as part of our business records.
• WhatsApp messages you send us, including booking requests: kept in our WhatsApp until we delete them. Ask us and we will delete them.
• Offers list (only if you ticked the optional box): your name, phone number and the date you agreed, kept until you ask us to stop. We then remove you within 7 days and send no more offers.
• Feedback, including your name, rating, phone number and consent record: deleted automatically 12 months after we receive it, or sooner if you ask.
• Spam-protection codes: deleted within about 2 hours.
• Hosting-provider server records: for the limited period set by our provider and by Indian law.

Automatic deletion is checked every time the website is used. We may keep information longer only where Indian law requires it, or where it is needed for a legal claim.

6. Your rights

Under Indian data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or update it;
• delete it;
• withdraw your consent;
• stop our WhatsApp news and offers: reply STOP to any offer, or call or email us;
• let someone you nominate act for you if you die or cannot act for yourself;
• hear and resolve your complaint.

Contact us using section 12. We may ask you to confirm a detail, such as the phone number you used, so we can be sure the request is yours. We will resolve your request within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Age limit

Our table booking and feedback forms are only for people aged 18 or older, and it asks you to confirm this. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Cookies and storage

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, analytics or any third-party cookies. Our fonts and images are served from our own website, so simply visiting it does not send your information to other companies. Because of this, we do not show a cookie banner.

You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. The website will still work.

9. Other services we link to

Some buttons take you to other services, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and Google Reviews, or your phone's dialler. Once you use them, what you share is handled by that service under its own privacy policy, not ours. For example, when you request a table, WhatsApp opens with your booking details filled in; if you send that message, it is handled by WhatsApp (Meta). Any WhatsApp message to us is handled the same way, and a review you post on Google is public and governed by Google's policies.

10. Security

The website uses an encrypted (https) connection. Feedback is stored outside the public part of the website. Only our authorised team can reach it, each person through their own private link. Repeated wrong attempts are blocked. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as Indian law requires.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
